NEW RJ45 Modules from Datwyler

28th September 2018

Datwyler has launched two new RJ45 modules; the KS-TC Plus Cat6A (IEC) Compact module and the KS-T8 Class I RJ45 module, which is specified up to 2000 MHz. They will be available from November and will supplement our existing range of high performance cabling components.

We're delighted to announce that our quality management systems have been certified to the higher requirements of the internationally recognised ISO 9001:2015 standard. Certified - 100 Watt PoE Cabling

Power over Ethernet (PoE) devices running over data cabling are now commonly used in many office and manufacturing environments. The 4PPoE standard - drawing 100 Watts over 4 pairs - has risen the bar to allow for new higher power applications, including office lighting systems. Datwyler's standard cabling products have been independently tested and are certified to comply with 4PPoE.

New Part Numbers for CPR Rated Cables

With the new CPR regulations in place, Datwyler has introduced an extended part numbering sequence to help customers identify exactly which cable they require. The core part number is unchanged, but additional digits have been added to signify the cables CPR Euroclass and the drum size.

What is CPR? Construction Product Regulation for Cable Fire Behaviour

Since July 2016 the new European standards for the classification of cable fire behaviour have been officially applicable. As of the effective date, 1 July 2017, only cables tested and classified in accordance with the new standards can be marketed in Europe.
