iDACS evolved from Datwyler UK to become a specialist in IT infrastructure, Woertz Modular Flat Cabling, smart building solutions and EV charging

September 1983: Unlike most other distributors and turnkey solution providers, our journey started as part of a manufacturing company, Swiss headquartered Datwyler Cabling Solutions (est. 1915). As the UK arm of this global cabling manufacturer we provided all technical, logistics and project support for Datwyler clients in the UK & Ireland.

With some of the best performing cabling solutions on the market, we became specialists in IT infrastructures for mission critical applications, as well as fire safety systems and intelligent lift cabling.

We gradually added more complementary product lines to our range, such as modular data centres, cabling for harsh & manufacturing environments, network cabinets and modular flat cabling systems for building automation.

By January 2014 we had developed our range and expertise beyond our core Datwyler offering and, following a management buy-out, became iDAC Solutions. Whilst maintaining our close relationship with Datwyler, and offering continuing support for their products, programmes, and system warranties, we were able to branch out even more.

Since then we have grown our portfolio further to include new and innovative smart building technologies, including building management software, occupancy solutions, smart lighting and managed EV charging systems.

By working closely with our best-in-class technology partners, we strive to provide clients with integrated building systems that make their transformation plans a reality; offering our expertise, excellent customer service and unrivalled project support at every stage of their journey.
