Flat Cabling
Our ecobus style modular flat cabling system, from Swiss Manufacturer Woertz, is ideal for use in warehouses, car parks (for electric vehicle charging installations), offices, call centres, airports, public buildings and hotels. The plug-and-play cabling system – which is suitable for indoor and outdoor use – offers faster, neater and lower cost installations (up to 50% savings versus conventional cabling), plus is simple to add to when future expansion is required.

The flat electrical cabling system is fast becoming a favourite solution for apartment owners and EV charger installers, who can both benefit from the advantages it offers
- Cabling can be pre-installed in preparation for tenant EV charging demand - providing an ‘EV ready’ system.
- Because of the plug-and-play configuration, tenants can be up and running quickly once they request EV charging facilities
- The system is also perfect for use with Easee ‘Ready’ dummy chargers, which can be wired as an economical part of the infrastructure for the Landlord, then activated with a live charger as the tenant requires (at their cost).
- The installation cost is lower than comparable cabling solutions, as less components are required and labour costs are significantly lower (see graphic below)
- The multi-cable construction lends itself perfectly to Dynamic Load Balancing, meaning that all available power across three phases is shared between cars on charge - so none of your tenants will complain that they didn’t receive charge for their vehicle
- Selected systems are IP-rated, so can be installed in outside car parks, tunnels and along exterior walls
The system features also benefit other clients, who require a simple plug-and-play solution e.g. for offices, hotels, hospitals and warehouses
Solutions for EV Charging
The IP rated Woertz Flat cabling system is suitable for underground and external car parks. By pre-cabling parking bays, you can significantly reduce installation costs, and the plug-and-play branching boxes enable landlords and business owners to add active EV chargers as demand require, or budgets allow. This economical option can reduce installation costs considerably (by up to 50%) and facilities dynamic load balancing for smart chargers, to ensure all vehicles on charge share available power.
Solutions for Tunnel Lighting
Escape route and tunnel LED lighting & cabling components are IP68 rated, so can withstand harsh conditions typically found in these environments. The unique, patented lever mounting mechanism allows devices to be terminated quickly and simply; anywhere along the cable length, at anytime, without the need for additional cabling.
Solutions for Offices and Hotels
Office and warehouse layouts can change for many reasons (new staff, new devices being added to the system, etc.) and the cots of making moves, adds and changes can be expensive if new cabling is required. The modular flat cabling solution allows tap-off points to be added at any time, and at any point along the cabling run, without costly new cable runs. It also reduces the overall amount of cabling (and related material costs) required to carry out the initial installation.
Solutions for Lift Shaft Electrics & Lighting
Our modular flat cabling from Woertz, offers flexibility and space-saving electrical cabling and lighting installations in lift shafts. Pre-configured and pre-mounted flat cable systems and plug-and-play lighting components, reduce installation costs, reduce assembly time in the lift shaft, and improve installer safety.
The flat cabling solution from iDACS made the EV charger installation much simpler and quicker. Because the system is ‘plug-and-play’ charging points could be added to the cabling by tapping off the main run - meaning future add-ons would also be easier, cheaper and less disruptive for the customer.
