LIDL UK HQ
iDACS have supplied Datwyler Cabling systems for LIDL premises across the UK and Ireland for over a decade. The latest project was their new UK Headquarters in Tolworth, which replaced LIDL's offices in Wimbledon.
Datwyler cabling solutions have been specified for LIDL offices and Regional Distribution Centres across Europe for a number of years. As the exclusive supplier of Datwyler products in the UK and Ireland, iDACS has worked closely with LIDL, and their approved installers, to ensure product and logistics are in place in order for each project to run smoothly.
The latest office development is the new LIDL HQ; a five story, state-of-the-art, 250,000 sqft building which accommodates Lidl’s 800 HQ staff and marks the latest phase of the supermarket’s ongoing expansion and growth.
On this project, iDACs supplied 250km of data cabling - consisting of 7177 copper links and 1668 fibre links.
The project comprised of
- Basement, Ground + 1st 2nd 3rd and 4th floors cabled
- 2 Comms rooms per floor
- 1 Comms room in the car park
- MTP fibre between all Comms rooms
- Door entry systems
- WAP’s throughout main building and car park
- Links to external security cameras
- Consolidation Point boxes, and shunting cables at all desks
iDACS have been involved throughout the project and will approve and manage the 25-year system warranty on Datwyler’s behalf once the certification process is complete
